Privacy Policy — English

This Privacy Policy explains what information the BaliCal app ("the App") collects, how it is stored and processed, who it is shared with, and your rights. Using the App constitutes acceptance of this policy. The App is operated by an independent developer ("we"). Privacy contact: support@balical.com.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: email address, password (stored hashed and encrypted — we never see it) and your chosen display name.
• Content you create: plans, tasks, titles, notes, scheduled times, recurring tasks, completion marks, and usage statistics derived from them (such as waiting and completion times).
• Minimal technical data: sync and record-update timestamps required for multi-device synchronization.

We do not collect location, contacts, device files or advertising identifiers. The App contains no ads, no third-party analytics and no tracking. We do not collect "specially sensitive information" as defined by the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law.

You are under no legal obligation to provide us information; providing it depends solely on your free will and consent. Information is collected only for: operating your account and the App, multi-device synchronization, and the plan-sharing features you choose to use. It is transferred only to the processors listed in this policy (Section 4) and to plan partners you choose to share with. Signup requires an active confirmation of this policy, and the confirmation time and accepted version are stored on your profile as a consent record.

2. Local-only mode

You may use the App without an account ("local mode"). In this mode all data is stored solely on your device and is never sent to us.

3. Where data is stored

Account data and content are stored with Supabase on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1, European Union). Traffic between the App and the servers is encrypted (TLS). Access is restricted with Row-Level Security so each user can only access their own data and data of plans shared with them.

4. Sharing

• Plan partners: if you join or share a plan, its members see your display name, the shared plan's tasks, and your busy windows (time ranges only, without task names from other plans) while scheduling.
• Processors: Supabase and AWS act as data processors for storage only.
• We do not sell, rent or disclose personal information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose, except where required by law.

5. Notifications

Task reminders are generated locally on your device. Partner-activity alerts arrive through the sync channel. Notifications can be disabled in the App or system settings.

6. Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account is active. Account deletion: Settings → Account → "Delete account permanently". This permanently erases from the cloud your account, profile, the plans you own with all their tasks, and removes you from shared plans — with no recovery. You may also request deletion at support@balical.com and we will complete it within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Subject to the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law 5741-1981, including Amendment 13 (in force since August 2025), and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you may access the data we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy, and request its deletion. Contact: support@balical.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.

8. Security

We apply accepted safeguards: encrypted transport, row-level access control, hashed password storage and permission separation. No system is completely immune, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you learn that a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have exclusive jurisdiction.
